Walking the Bridge to Happiness

We always want to reach the destination! And we tell ourselves that when we get there, then we will be happy! But … here’s the rub: it doesn’t matter how many destinations we will reach, how many goals we will achieve – the final happiness will always be on the other side of the next bridge …

Until we realise that the goal is not over there, but right here, at this moment – every moment. 🙂

… Always.

  1. There is always another bridge…greener grass…etc. Strengthen your side of the bridge and fertilize your grass you’ll go fine! RTR

    1. Dear Ronny, I totally agree with you! I always try to make sure the grass is greener on *my* side! 😀
Wishing you a happy weekend to come with lots of rain and sunshine! (a wonderful combination for the grass, as I know very well! 😉 🙂 🙂 )

    1. Wise words, Dylan, and words I would do well to keep at heart too. 🙂

I have been reading some of the posts on your blog too; they are very interesting! And what’s more – they make me think … and that is a most valuable gift, indeed! 🙂 🙂

Thank you so much, Dylan! And have a wonderful week ahead 🙂 🙂

      1. My posts are “very interesting”…. in a good way or bad way? 🙂
At any rate, I’m glad they make you think. Feel free to share your thoughts, I’d love to hear them.

        Have a wonderful weekend too!

        1. Dear Dylan, thank you! I hope you will have a most inspiring and beautiful weekend! 🙂
Interesting in a good way, for sure. I generally don’t think bad goes well with interesting (though I am aware that some people do use that constellation – quite weird as it seems to me 😉 🙂 )

          1. Speaking of “inspiring and beautiful”, I think I might spend some time tonight typing on my typewriter (which is the REAL reason I haven’t been blogging 😉). Have a beautiful weekend yourself dear! 🙂

  2. Dear Elena .What a wonderful philosophical theme beautifully illustrated. I totally adhere. The search for happiness often suggests such an approach while happiness is often near to us. Enough to feed my reflection for the days to come. I wish you a pleasant weekend

    1. Dear Florius 🙂
People are like that – we have it, and we do not respect it.
We do not have it – and we covet it immensely!
And when we do not have it any more – we miss it so much 😉

Let us learn to see the beauty, joy and light which is there, in our lives. And give it our care and love… 🙂

Wishing you a wonderful time, my far-away and dear friend, full of happiness, admiration and joy! 🙂 🙂
